While traveling across the country on Amtrak's Empire Builder, I was astounded once again by the sheer vastness and beauty of America's Great Plains. I tried to capture the feeling of this majesty in several photographs, and this was by far my favorite. The golden fields are a perfect complement to the lovely blue sky, and the clouds provide a dramatic element.

Classic Black and White landscape / seascape of a Sea Cliff topped by Maine's iconic Pine Tree and the Atlantic ocean drapped in mist and fog, at Quoddy Head State Park, Maine's rugged and rocky down east coast.

A lone chair with a brightly colored yellow seat and back, supported by a vivid red metal frame, sits out on a frozen pond. Ice chips glint in the bright twilight sun.
