Forest Impressions 5: Mossy Alders
This photograph reminds me of the colors and feeling of some paintings from the 1920s through 1950s era. It has a mystery about it, which comes partly from the technique I used: moving the camera during the exposure. The subject of the image is alder trees that I found along the Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale, Washington. I photographed the trees during hazy winter light.
Edition of 250, including all sizes and methods of printing.
