Taken with a Contax 645 AF medium format camera with a Carl Ziess 35 mm f4.5 lens, this is a landscape taken in Yunan in 2008. These steppes have been man-made over thousands of years, using just manual labor and oxen, as such they represent timeless relics. When you watch the labourers daily activities one must marvel at man's perseverance at taming the harsh environment.
